The Bird Blind Wildlife Observatory, completed in the fall of 2024, is a collaborative design-build project led by University of Houston architecture students, located in the George Mitchell Nature Preserve in The Woodlands, Texas. Designed to blend seamlessly with its natural surroundings, the observatory uses sustainable, locally sourced materials and features viewing slits for birdwatchers to observe the preserve’s wildlife without disturbing the environment.
